Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and lazySantara ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of our websites, mobile applications, and any related services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, using the Services, or clicking "Accept," you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Related policy: Use of the Services is also governed by the lazySantara Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please read it carefully.

1. Who May Use the Services

Age and capacity. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services.

India-based service. The Services are primarily intended for users in India. Payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR).

Business users. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.

2. Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account and for maintaining the security of your credentials. Your account is verified via phone number and one-time password (OTP). Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach.

You may not create multiple accounts, share your account credentials, or transfer your account to another person without our prior written consent.

3. The Marketplace

lazySantara is a trust-first marketplace connecting people who need real-world tasks done ("Task Posters") with people who complete those tasks ("Task Workers"). We are a platform, not a party to the arrangement between Posters and Workers.

Posting tasks. Task Posters set the task title, description, category, location, budget, and deadline. All tasks are subject to content moderation. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or flag any task that violates these Terms or our content policies.

Applying for tasks. Task Workers may browse published tasks and submit applications with a cover message, proposed amount, and estimated completion time. Task Posters decide which application to accept.

Completing tasks. Once assigned, Workers are expected to complete the task as described, submit proof of completion (including photos and GPS verification where applicable), and communicate with the Poster via in-app messaging.

No employment relationship. Task Workers are independent individuals, not employees of lazySantara or of Task Posters. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship.

4. Payments, Escrow, and Fees

Escrow system. When a Task Poster creates a task, the budget amount is held in escrow via our payment processor, Razorpay. Funds are released to the Worker only after the Poster approves the completed work or after the auto-approval period (typically 72 hours) if the Poster takes no action.

Platform commission. lazySantara charges a commission on completed tasks (currently 12.5%, subject to change with notice). The commission is deducted from the task budget before the Worker receives their payout.

Refunds. If a task is cancelled before a Worker is assigned, the full escrow amount is refunded to the Poster. If a dispute arises after assignment, refunds are determined through our dispute resolution process (see Section 7).

Payment processing. All payments are processed by Razorpay. By using the Services, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or UPI credentials.

Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to payments you receive through the Services. lazySantara does not provide tax advice.

5. Identity Verification

Phone verification. All users must verify their phone number via OTP to use the Services.

Selfie verification. We offer optional selfie verification to increase trust. By submitting a selfie, you consent to its storage and use for identity verification purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your selfie at any time.

Accuracy. You must provide truthful identity information. Impersonation, fake profiles, or fraudulent verification attempts will result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6. Content Moderation and AI Features

AI-powered moderation. Task listings and user content are reviewed by AI systems to assess risk level and flag potentially unsafe, fraudulent, or policy-violating content. Tasks may be auto-approved, flagged for human review, or rejected based on this assessment.

Dispute triage. When a dispute is raised, AI may analyze evidence, task history, and messages to suggest a resolution. A human moderator makes the final decision.

No AI training on your data. We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models. AI processing is performed solely to deliver safety and moderation features within the Services.

Accuracy disclaimer. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. AI moderation decisions are subject to human review and appeal.

7. Disputes Between Users

Dispute process. Either the Poster or Worker may raise a dispute regarding a task. Disputes are reviewed through a multi-step process: AI-assisted triage, followed by human moderator review when needed.

Evidence. Both parties may submit evidence including photos, messages, GPS data, and written explanations. Evidence submitted during disputes is retained for audit and legal purposes.

Resolution. The moderator may resolve a dispute by: releasing full payment to the Worker, refunding the Poster, or splitting the escrow amount. The moderator's decision is final and binding.

Auto-approval. If a Poster does not review submitted proof of completion within 72 hours, the task may be auto-approved and payment released to the Worker.

8. Acceptable Use

You will not, and will not permit others to:

  • Violate any applicable law, third-party rights, or these Terms;
  • Post tasks that are illegal, harmful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that involve dangerous activities;
  • Submit fraudulent proof of completion, fake reviews, or misleading task descriptions;
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through messages or in-person interactions;
  • Attempt to circumvent the escrow system or arrange off-platform payments;
  • Create multiple accounts, use fake identities, or submit fraudulent verification;
  • Access or use the Services to develop a competing product; reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services; introduce malware; or attempt to bypass security measures;
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Services without authorization;
  • Use the Services for any purpose other than posting or completing legitimate real-world tasks.

9. User Content and License

"User Content" means content you submit through the Services, including task descriptions, applications, messages, photos, proof of completion, reviews, and profile information. You retain your rights in User Content.

To operate and improve the Services, you grant lazySantara a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely to (a) provide and maintain the Services; (b) secure and troubleshoot; (c) comply with law; and (d) resolve disputes. This license ends for specific items when you delete them from the Services (allowing for reasonable time to propagate to backups).

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

10. Reviews and Ratings

After a task is completed, both the Poster and Worker may leave a rating (1-5 stars) and an optional written review. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and not contain abusive or defamatory content.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our content policies. We do not manipulate or artificially alter ratings.

11. Location Data and Proof of Completion

Certain features require access to your device's location:

  • Task matching. Your profile location (city, state, pincode) and geographic coordinates are used to show you relevant nearby tasks.
  • Proof of completion. When submitting proof, Workers' GPS coordinates are captured (with browser permission) to verify presence at the task location. This is a one-time capture per submission, not continuous tracking.

You may revoke location permissions in your browser or device settings at any time, though this may limit certain features.

12. Reporting and Moderation

Users may report tasks, other users, or messages that violate these Terms. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We may take action including warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on the severity and frequency of violations.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including involving law enforcement, for violations that may be criminal in nature.

13. API Access

We may offer API access to allow third-party integrations (including AI agents) to interact with the marketplace. API users must:

  • Register for API keys and keep them secure;
  • Comply with rate limits (currently 60 requests/minute, 5,000 requests/day);
  • Only access data within their authorized scopes (e.g., tasks:read, tasks:create);
  • Not share API keys or use them to scrape or abuse the platform.

We may revoke API keys at any time for violations. API access is subject to these Terms and any additional API-specific terms we may publish.

14. Intellectual Property

As between you and lazySantara, you own your User Content. lazySantara and its licensors own the Services, software, documentation, branding, and all related intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of one party's materials to the other except as expressly stated.

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant lazySantara a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any lawful purpose.

15. Third-Party Services

The Services integrate with third-party providers including Razorpay (payments) and Supabase (infrastructure). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. lazySantara is not responsible for third-party services and does not control their content or practices.

16. Disclaimers

The Services and all content (including AI moderation outputs) are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, lazySantara and its licensors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

lazySantara is a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of tasks posted, the ability of Workers to complete tasks, or the ability of Posters to pay. We do not endorse any user or vouch for any task listing.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, lazySantara and its affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will lazySantara's total liability exceed the amounts you paid to lazySantara for the Services in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.

18. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless lazySantara and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (d) any task you post or complete; or (e) any dispute between you and another user.

19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Dispute resolution. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in New Delhi, India.

Injunctive relief. Either party may seek temporary or preliminary injunctive relief in court to protect its rights pending arbitration.

20. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Services ceases immediately;
  • Any pending escrow funds will be handled according to the applicable task status (refunded to Poster if task is incomplete, released to Worker if task was completed);
  • You may request deletion of your account data as described in our Privacy Policy;
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities, dispute resolution) will survive termination.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new "Effective Date." Material changes will be notified via the Services or email. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

22. Miscellaneous

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and lazySantara and supersede prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. No waiver is effective unless in writing. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Is lazySantara an employer?+
No. lazySantara is a marketplace platform that connects Task Posters with Task Workers. Workers are independent individuals, not employees of lazySantara or of Posters.
How does the escrow system protect me?+
When a task is created, the budget is held securely in escrow. Workers know the money exists before they start. Posters know funds are only released after they approve the work. If there's a dispute, a moderator decides how funds are distributed.
What happens if I don't review completed work?+
If you don't review proof of completion within 72 hours, the task may be auto-approved and payment released to the Worker. We send reminders before this happens.
Can I cancel a task after posting?+
Yes, if no Worker has been assigned yet, you can cancel and receive a full refund. After assignment, cancellation is handled through the dispute resolution process.
How do I report a problem with another user?+
Use the in-app report feature on any task, user profile, or message. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action.
What commission does lazySantara charge?+
We currently charge 12.5% commission on completed tasks. This is deducted from the task budget before the Worker receives their payout. Commission rates may change with notice.
Can AI agents use lazySantara?+
